A new survey by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has revealed that nearly half of small businesses (45%) are unclear about the rules surrounding workplace pensions.
The FSBs report, based upon a survey of small business owners, also revealed that a quarter of small businesses felt that they might not be able to cope with the extra cost involved in enrolling their staff into a workplace pension scheme.
The work place pension programme, which has been implemented in stages, will require all employers to offer pensions to anyone who is over the age of 22 and who earns more than £10,000 a year by 2018.
At Corr & Corr we understand that finding the time and resources to deal with work place pension obligations can be a challenge for small businesses.
