Tax returns are changing – with a new way to record and report your income and expenses. This is called Making Tax Digital for Income Tax.
Making Tax Digital (MTD) is a UK government initiative introduced by HM Revenue & Customs to modernise the tax system and make it more effective, efficient, and easier for taxpayers to get their tax right. MTD requires individuals and businesses to keep digital records and submit tax information to HMRC using compatible software, on a quarterly basis.
